JOB SUMMARY:
Senior Application Engineer is responsible for supporting system deployment, incident recovery, application permanence fix for local applications, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and contributing towards the continuous improvement of the application systems.
The scope of work includes working with internal team and external partners to ensure successful application implementation, system recovery, bug fixing in timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Involve and work with relevant parties to lead the software design for changing or building new applications.
- Monitor and maintain the availability and performance, issue, of applications in line with agreed service levels (SLAs)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as development, infrastructure, architecture, etc. to enhance application systems and processes.
- Participate in project reviews and evaluations, ensuring alignment of technology investments with the Enterprise Architecture Framework and the bank’s strategic directions
- Monitor progress against project plans and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop small applications, tools to support operation improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in IT Application Development, Application Maintenance and Support, preferably in a banking environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Solid knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Strong experience in MS SQL, .NET framework, Angular, jQuery, JavaScript, Webservice.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Good documentation skills
- Good English proficiency both verbal and written.
